Our people
Oats risk services has a level 1 B-BBEE rating and is majority black female owned and managed. Our team has over 20 years combined experience in the financial services Industry which gives us an edge as a business. Our knowledge and experience across different sectors within financial services including employee benefits, asset management, banking, auditing and insurance enables us to offer our clients a comprehensive service and sound advice.

Founder and Managing Director
BSc Actuarial Science, Wits
Otshepeng is the Founder and managing director of Oats Risk services. She has vast experience in the Financial services industry spanning 12 years. In that period, she occupied different roles in Employee benefits, Asset management and Insurance.
She started her career at Alexander Forbes as an actuarial analyst. She then moved to Stanlib where she was a Portfolio executive responsible for client management for Africa wide clients. After her move to Cape Town, she joined Novare as an Investment Analyst in the Fund of Hedge Funds team and was soon promoted to Portfolio Risk Manager in the same team. After 4 years at Novare she moved back to Johannesburg where she joined Crede Capital Partners as the head of Insurance and was tasked with setting up and heading up ESM Financial and Risk Services - a joint venture between Crede and another business - which was an insurance brokerage which created and provided solutions for both the public and private sector.
Throughout her career she gained extensive experience in technical analysis, product development, risk management, business development and operations management. In June 2017 she started consulting for different businesses providing operational management, risk management and business development services which led to the birth of Oats Risk Services.
